Founder and CEO
Stacey Richolson, RVT
Stacey Richolson is a Registered Veterinary Technician that graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Gwinnett Technical College in 2004. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Auburn University. She has been in the Veterinary field since 1996, but has worked exclusively in feline medicine since 2004. Stacey also was the owner of Sophisticated Mane In-Home Feline Grooming until she decided to devote all her time to PNCA.
From the time she was a child, Stacey has loved cats. She would even “adopt” the neighborhood strays, and tame and take care of them. Stacey currently shares her home with her husband and several cats of her own, plus fosters. Stacey continues to attend lectures and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest in feline medicine and behavior. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending music concerts/festivals, and reading.
Founder and CFO
Tara graduated top of her class from Reinhardt University with a BS in Biology and Associate Degree in Business Administration. She decided to apply her education to helping cats, rather than pursue a traditional career, after the loss of her first rescue cat, Sierra, in 2014. Since then, she has helped rescue thousands of cats and placed them in loving homes. Tara’s dedication to saving animal lives and tenacity to achieve her goals is apparent to anyone who knows her. Her hands are always busy, one permanently attached to a coffee cup; the second, busy responding to calls, texts, emails, and voicemails about the cats she loves. She believes team work and education is the key to a better community and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others while enriching the lives of cats. Tara shares her home with a kitty crew of seven foster ambassadors.
Shannon Huskins, RVT
Shannon is the owner of Paws and Purrs Feline Services, a professional cat sitting and hospice care business focused on quality care and education. She is a registered veterinary technician with experience working in feline-only practices since 1996. She has spent the last 19 years discovering her passion for felines and truly learning to “speak cat”! "All of the kitties I have known over the course of my career have taught me the true meaning of compassion, patience, empathy, joy, trust, and sadness." Shannon has committed her career to enhancing and enriching the lives of our feline companions.
Posy started her career as a Certified Public Accountant. She took a break from the working world and stayed home with her children for 12 years. When it came time to go back to work, she fulfilled a bucket list dream and went to Gwinnett Technical College to obtain an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She passed the National Boards and worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician for 8 years. Her career in Veterinary Medicine ended in 2012 and she is currently a Credit Analyst and Bank Officer at Quantum National Bank in Suwanee, Georgia. Posy’s interests include walking, watching Notre Dame football games (Go Irish!), spending time with her grandson Jack, and wondering how she became a sexagenarian. Posy lives in Suwanee with her daughter and four cats. Her son is an MD and an Internal Medicine Resident at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
